Entre el 20 y el 22 de octubre tuvo lugar en Tokio, Japón, la XIX Reunión General del PECC con el tema PECC at 30: New Vision for APEC and Toward Further Regional Economic Cooperation. En la sesión número seis intervino el Sr. Manfred Wilhelmy, Director de la Fundación Chilena del Pacífico, con una presentación titulada "The Future of Global and Regional Cooperation: Looking toward the G-20 and APEC. A Latin American Perpective". Esta intervención fue la única de un delegado latinoamericano en esta Reunión. Ver nota.
